River Run Tours was created for people that are looking for something the “Scheduled Tour Boats” do not offer. Marianne and I have visited many vacation destinations that offer boat tours that are like riding on a bus with a tour guide on a microphone. That is fine for some people but not for us. If you would prefer the better value of a private charter then River Run Tours is for you.

I grew up on the water and had a boat before I had a bicycle.  It was not until the year 2000 that in my first Pontoon Boat that I started exploring the Midcoast area in great detail with friends and family.  Every time I found ruins &  remains of the past, I would search the history books to find out what it was and all about it,  it became a passion.  After much urging from friends and family that I would make a great tour guide,  I earned my Master Captains License and  ordered a brand new G3 sea-rated 3-Pontoon custom boat and went into business as River Run Tours.

River Run Tours is a non-scheduled, appointment only custom service having affiliations with many other marine based services in Midcoast Maine.  If we don’t offer what you’re looking for, I promise to help you find it. We have connections to several Fishing Charter Operators, and many fine and unique restaurants and services.
